The Treaty of Kammzdast was an agreement between the many ancient races frequenting the Rigel system. It was primarily concerned with the use of Orion slaves, and its signing marked the beginning of the Orion Era. The treaty stipulated that Orions could not bear arms outside of the Rigel system, though the slaves could be taken from the planet for other purposes. Proxy combat was only permitted on the "unsettled" Rigel worlds, which included the Orion homeworld of Botchok (Rigel VIII).
