The Barbara Bancroft Society was a membership organization for women on the planet Grayson. It was named after Barbara Bancroft, who saved the Moderates from a doomsdays weapon attack during the Civil War. Cecelie and Suleia Rustin's mothers were members, and took part in an effort to petition the Grayson Space Navy to allow women in uniform to wear skirts. (GNLH)
