Maude Fox was a 23rd century Human female. By the late 2270s, Fox was serving in Starfleet as an security guard aboard the USS Enterprise. Fox accompanied Lieutenant Pavel Chekov, Dr. Leonard McCoy, Engineering Ensign Pat Bradley, and two other security people, Lieutenant Tom Collins and Ricky Randall, on a landing party to Gerald, one of the three moons of the planet Cathy in the Novak system. In the desert on Gerald, Bradley, Fox and Randall cut into a dune with their phasers and found the entrance to a glass-walled tunnel, beyond which lay one-third of the lost treasure of Vulcan.
