This Western Union Clerk was the calligrapher and train station attendant in Carson City. He was likely the clerk that put through Hiram Gummer's request for a gunman to the papers, which got them Black Hand Kelly. Later he was selling Hiram a train ticket back east when a telegram came in from Rejection saying that the Dirt dragons were on their way to town and that everyone there was in danger. He laughed about it and when he turned around to stamp Hiram's ticket Hiram left to buy guns and return to Rejection to help the townspeople.
