[Source] The hyperspace transport ring was a device that provided hyperspace travel capabilities to starfighters with no on-board hyperdrive, such as the Delta-7B Aethersprite-class light interceptor and the V-19 Torrent starfighter. The Syliure hyperdrive booster ring was one such transport ring. Darth Vader's personal V-wing squadron used hyperspace rings during a pursuit of weapon hijackers from Cham Syndulla's Free Ryloth movement.
