Dr. Snuffenstein is the star of the movie "Honey, I Shrunk the Snuffleupagus" in a 1993 episode of Sesame Street. Savion and Gina take Big Bird and Snuffy to the film, where the doctor's dramatic speech about becoming smaller frightens Snuffy. His name is an obvious reference to the archetypal mad scientist, Dr. Frankenstein.
