The Kawa province (Sh3) was the Shosuro province extending from the southernmost border of the Ryoko province (Sh1), to the northernmost border of the Hizoku province (Ba2), and from the westernmost border of the Kunizakai province (Ba1), to the River of Gold, Kawa no Kin, the river which gave its name to the province and separated from the Plains of Thunder. Notable locations within the province were the village of Ginasutra (S9), the Shosuro capital Shiro no Shosuro (S5) which located the infamous Shosuro Gardens, and Painted City. The majority of the province was covered in rice paddies and grain fields.
