R3-S2 was a droid that was bought by Dera Frezflit after his older droid, R5-M65 was destroyed and his memory was processed onto R3-S2. R3-S2 served as Dera's flight astromech during the clone wars years until Dera saved his N-1 squadron by sacrificing himself when they were under attack by Bounty Hunters. R3-S2 was destroyed, but his dome was found and placed at the cemetery were Dera Frezflit's remains lay. R3-S2 had many adventures with Dera and never had a memory wipe, much like R5-M65.
