Nerfs were non-sentient species herded and harvested on Alderaan. The animals were used in a variety of ways to make furniture, food and clothing. The Lanmaw family was a family of nerf farmers, who made frequent trips to Aldera Palace to deliver harvested nerfs to the royal family. There was also at least one known Nerf variant known as the Grizmalt. They were characterized by their darker shade of fur and sharper horns. They were also significantly more aggressive than other Nerf.
