Before the war began Brawl was the former champion of the gladiatorial matches that Megatron was involved with. He thoroughly enjoyed his time of glory but when Megatron came along he quickly de-throned him. Ever since this humilliating defeat Brawl has had a huge grudge against Megatron and feigns loyalty to him to get a chance to defeat him and get his revenge.
