Haldimand Township was located in north-central Northumberland County along Lake Ontario between Cobourg and Colborne. Prior to the formation of the municipal fire department in the mid-1990s, it was covered by Cobourg Fire - Rescue, Colborne Fire Department, Alnwick Township Fire Department and Warkworth Fire Department. In 2001, Haldimand was amalgamated with the adjoining Township of Alnwick and the fire department became part of Alnwick / Haldimand Township Fire and Rescue.
