Blood glucose analyzer is a way of testing the concentration of glucose in the blood (glycemia). Particularly important in the care of diabetes mellitus, a blood glucose test is performed by piercing the skin (typically, on the finger tip) to draw blood, then placing the blood on a chemically active disposable strip which indicates the result either by changing color, or changing an electrical characteristic, the latter being measured by an electronic meter.
