Sector 30 was a part of Federation space located near the Romulan Neutral Zone. In 2364, five Federation outposts, including Science Station Delta-05, were destroyed by an unknown enemy, later discovered to be the Borg. In 2366, Admiral Haden put this sector on alert during the crisis near Nelvana III. Later the same year, Kivas Fajo poisoned the water supply on Federation planet Beta Agni II, which is located in this sector.
