Barazanthual was Dain II Ironfoot's Axe. The weapon was one of the finest axes ever to be crafted by the Dwarves. Due to its status as a dwarven blade of royalty the weapon was likely crafted out of Mithril or other dwarven riches. The axe was a strong weapon, much feared in battle. It was used by Dain II Ironfoot at the Battle of Dale and fell with him upon being slain by the Easterling armies.
