János Vas (b. January 29th 1984 in Dunaújváros, Hungary) is a professional left winger who plays in the American Hockey League for the Iowa Stars. Drafted to the National Hockey League by the Dallas Stars 32nd overall in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. After having played a couple more seasons in Sweden, Vas departed for North America in 2005, joining Dallas' farm team, the Iowa Stars. His brother Márton Vas is also a professional player.
