Ensign Blaise Selby was a 23rd century Human woman, a Starfleet officer serving as a geologist in the 2260s decade, stationed on the Federation starship USS Lovell. Selby was dispatched in year 2266 as part of a shuttle team to look for missing civilians when the Lovell was posted to Gamma Tauri IV, ostensibly to help the colony's set up but in fact tasked with finding Shedai objects.
