David Pipe is a right-sided midfielder who joined Rovers in July 2007 from Notts County for a fee of £50,000, making him one of the few players in the squad at the time who wasn't acquired on a free transfer. He has been capped by Wales on one occasion, in 2006, and is a former captain of the Welsh Under-21 side. Shortly after leaving the Mem he was sentenced to 38 months in prison for his part in the assault, which left another man with a fractured skull.
