The Special Weapons And Tactics or more commonly referred as the S.W.A.T. Team is a specialized police force that handles severe crimes in the Redwood City Area. Created in 1970 by orders of the mayor, David Hanson trained them in traditional "Shock & Awe" methods and other military-based tactics. During the Redwood City Incident, S.W.A.T. Teams were scattered throughout the city though one team stayed behind and protected the police department until it was overrun. There were no known survivors of the outbreak, and it is believed all officers were infected.
