Q9-01, also known as Zero-One, was a Q9-series astromech droid equipped with a vocoder. Zero-One was Kyp Durron's personal astromech during the Yuuzhan Vong War that he received from a Mon Calamari philosopher who was fascinated with ancient cultures and technologies. He was so fond of a computer system based on binary that he named his droid after the numbers 0 and 1.
