Directly after the happenings in the novel thirteen Clay and Elena travel to Russia where the pack has been laying low during the war and unrest caused by Giles de Reys and the lord demon Balaam. After a quick run in with an old contact Xavior Reese the pack gets together with all the new and old members and has a pack meeting held under the eye of the new pack leader.
