Junia Nalek was a Human female who held the rank of sergeant in the army of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Nalek was stationed on Ryloth in 22 BBY, where she took part in the fighting against the Galactic Republic. However, the Confederacy was ultimately defeated on Ryloth. Nalek, a staunch believer of the Separatist cause, attempted to kill herself, but was subdued by a Jedi before she could do so. The sergeant was taken prisoner by the Republic. However, the next year, she escaped from her prison and rejoined the Confederacy. Nalek was later stationed on Utapau towards the end of the Clone Wars, where she was killed during the Republic assault on the planet.
