Molly Sterling is an Irish singer who first came to prominence in 2011 when she won the Teen Idol contest, which saw her receive a recording prize. She participated in other singing competitions, finishing as runner-up and released her first EP "Strands of Heart" in November 2014. At the age of 17, she was the youngest competitor to represent her home country when she took to the Eurovision stage for the 2015 Contest in Vienna but failed to advance from the second semifinal, marking the fifth year since the introduction of the semi finals that the country would miss out on the final.
