The Thirty-eighth Infantry was a unit in the Republic Military that was active during the Great Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. Several of the members in one of the unit's platoons were from the planet Tatooine, which was home to a reptilian scavenger known as the sandtusker. The platoon named their armored walker the Sandtusker, and the walker carried the platoon safely through some of the war's fiercest battles.
