Boomer Marshall was the father of Todd Marshall and his three older brothers. He was a retired Marine pilot who owned a charter service in Leto. Christopher Blair met him once, and the rest of his sons. He and Todd's other two older brothers constantly challenged Todd to meet their unrealistic standards. They were demanding, ill-tempered, hard-core bunch of military brats. Thanks to Boomer, Marshall had entered the academy with more logged flight hours than any other cadet.
