There are forty Golden Feathers that must be collected in the game with all of them being hidden across all levels. Once found, the Kongs must return them to Cranky Kong to power up one of Expresso II's stats; Strength, Speed, Flight, and Boost by one point per feather. Each of these attributes can be upgraded ten times, meaning all of the Golden Feathers must be found to have Expresso II at maximum power when racing.
