The Price is Right 25th Anniversary Special (#0001S) premiered on August 23, 1996 as a primetime special, as the show got ready to celebrate its 25th year. The pricing games played were Lucky Seven, One Away and Plinko, the latter of which was played for not $25,000 but up to $50,000. There was no Showcase Showdown and only three pricing games were played, but it still lasted for 60 minutes. Flashbacks from the first 24 seasons (as well as a small number from early season 25, as it was taped out-of-order) were played from the first episode until the debut of Plinko.
