Doctor Rymond was a female Starfleet medical officer serving in the late 24th century. By 2381, Rymond was a surgical intern serving aboard the USS Enterprise-E. During the Borg Invasion of 2381, the Enterprise engaged a Borg cube in the Azure Nebula. Rymond was assisting the rest of the medical staff in tending to the wounded and had to call in Beverly Crusher to assist in removing a broken railing from Lieutenant Rennan Konya. Crusher aided Rymond in using the surgical arch and its microtransporter to remove the foreign body and then cauterized the wound. Rymond was able to complete the remainder of the procedure, requesting Nurse Mimouni to prep eight units of blood cells and two units of plasma. (ST - Destiny novel: Mere Mortals)
