The Hoenn Director finds out that Kyogre and Groudon have left and gone in opposite directions, their desire to battle sated. He receives a call from Wallace reporting Steven Stone's death. Wallace and the Elite Four realize that Steven knew that the effort of summoning and controlling the Regis would kill him, which was why he passed the Champion's cloak on to Wallace. Ruby, crying, asks why Norman would do that. The answer comes from Marge's lighter: people will do anything for those they love.
