Jean de Metz, known in Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings as Sieur de Metz, was a French soldier in the Hundred Years' War. He and his companion Bertrand de Poulengy are best known for escorting Joan of Arc from Vaucouleurs to Chinon in 1429. They appear in the scenario An Unlikely Messiah, and are also available in the Scenario Editor. Sieur de Metz has the appearance of a Knight, but has better combat stats. As a hero, he regenerates his health, making him very valuable in the scenario.
