Jack Farson was once allied to his brother John Farson, serving as his second-in-command though he often questioned his brother's inhumane acts, as he had somewhat of a conscience. John convinced him to pose as a wealthy land owner from the East whose purpose was too woo an unbetrothed Jenna to infiltrate the aristocracy's in the town as Jenna's suitor before finally funneling the towns assets back to his brother, however he actually fell in love with her and married her, turning his back on John.
