Ahzdar was a star with an associated star system, that was located a number of parsecs away from Earth and the Sol system, in Federation space, near the border between the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. Ahzdar's system was the home of a civilization, on the planet Ahzdar. (TOS novel: The Abode of Life) The Federation starship USS Ahzdar was named for this location.
