Converting anything to a string is the easiest conversion in DXL. Any data type that can be expressed as a string will be converted to one if it is concatenated with a string, including an empty one. The simplest example would be converting an integer to a string. int two = 2 string two_s = 2 "" Stores the string "2" in two_s This can also be done with reals. real half = .5 string half_s = half ""
