X Tournament Series: The End of Flash 2 9b is a pair of tournaments and the very last events, numbered or unnumbered, in the X Tournament Series. Doqtor Kirby organized these events as "sendoff" tournaments for Super Smash Flash 2 v0.9b. The two events, named the Hope Arc and Despair Arc, were run drastically different from each other in both ruleset and seedings; the former opting for Season 3 of the Flash Collective Rankings and the latter using Season 2. The two events ran on Veterans Day weekend, 11 and 12 November 2016; and was streamed and casted live by a crew of commentators in Doqtor Kirby's stream. This event is unique among multi-tournament events in that one player won both tournaments.
