The Cold-Fusion Generator is a giant block of ice that Sarda sends the Light Warriors to find. Red Mage finds it and, through the use of his incompetence intellect, deduces that by striking it hard enough with a sword, it will create heated energy by fission, and warm them. Such a task would require near endless strength at nigh-impossible speeds, even for Fighter, but the party passes out from the cold before they can test Red Mage's theory.
