Microsoft Office 2010 (codenamed Office 14 due to fear of the number 13) is a version of Microsoft Office, succeeding Microsoft Office 2007 and preceding Microsoft Office 2013. Released to manufacturing on 15 April 2010 and for retail purchase on 15 June 2010, Office 2010 includes extended file format support, UI changes and a changed user experience. A 64-bit version of Office 2010 is available, but not for Windows XP or Windows Server 2003. It is the first version of Office to ship in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions, as well as the first to require product activation for volume licensing editions. Unlike previous versions of Office, every application in Office 2010 features the ribbon as its primary UI. Mainstream support ended on 13 October 2015; extended support ends on 13 October 2020
