The Road Virus Heads North was a painting by Bobby Hastings; of Hastings' 80-or-more paintings, Road Virus was the only one not burned by its creator before Hastings committed suicide. The painting was sold to author Richard Kinnell at a yardsale by Hastings' neighbor, Judy Diment.
