Viel zu weit was the German entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1993 in Millstreet performed by Münchener Freiheit. The song is a ballad, with the singer describing "untouched worlds" and comparing them to the problems of our own. Münchener Freihet also recorded the song in English (as "Far Away"), French ("Très loin") and Spanish ("Un sueño nada más"). In the final, the song was performed third, following Turkey and preceding Switzerland. At the close of voting, it had placed 18th with 18 points.
