Ralph Rose is a former NASCAR driver from South Norfolk, VA. He competed in two Nextel Cup Series events in his career, recording top-ten in both efforts. Both of those races came in the 1953 season, when Rose debuted at Norfolk. Starting positions in both of the races are unknown, but Rose drove to a solid 9th place effort. To prove it was no fluke, Rose matched that finish the very next week at Hickory but never raced again. Correction: They were not called The Nextel Cup Series in the 1950's.
