Highway 8 is 61km long, and starts at the intersection of Chapman Street and Nicola Highway in Merritt. It immediately goes northwest through Shullus to Lower Nicola, where it turns west. It goes in this direction for a short ways to Canford, where it turns northwest again. From here, it goes this direction along a winding road through Agate and Clapperton. From here, it travels north to its ending at Highway 1 near Spences Bridge.
