The APEX100 has more of a vintage style than the APEX1. It features an RG-style alder body with a white pickguard mated to a maple and wenge neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. and DiMarzio Blaze pickups, including a single coil pickup in the neck position. Like last year's APEX1, the APEX100 features a Lo Pro Edge tremolo with U-Bar. Shaffer's other signature model, the APEX2 with a fixed bridge, returned unchanged for 2011. The APEX100 was superseded by the APEX200 for 2014.
