Private Hershel Lorenz (COG tags CSID 9W84CT-MW983-RY) was a Gear who fought during the Pendulum Wars and Emergence Day. While stationed in the city of Helsmuth, Lorenz witnessed the first emergence of Locust forces in the city. After they began firing on both civilians and Gears, Lorenz and his squad attempted to provide covering fire, unfortunately, Lorenz was attacked and dragged underground by an adolescent Corpser where he was killed.
