Derek is a young bard who, during the time of Ultima IV, can be found beyond a secret door in Empath Abbey. The Stranger will know to ask Derek of the Candle of Love after meditating at the shrine in the abbey. He will inform the Stranger that the candle is in a hidden place off Lock Lake.
