William Henry Pannell (1843-14 January 1919) was a chartered accountant and politician. Born in Pentonville, he was the son of William Henry Pannell, a Sussex farmer. Having spent some time as a pupil teacher in Yorkshire he returned to Islington where he married Fanny Wright in 1866. He divorced his first wife and in 1883 he married Ellen Knight and the couple made their home in Brixton. They subsequently moved to Lee and Catford, and finally to Eltham. Died at his home in Eltham, aged 75.
