The Summit on Manaan was an, ultimately unsuccessful, attempt by the Jedi Order to persuade the Selkath authorities on Manaan to provide an increased percentage of its annual kolto export to the Galactic Republic. During the Jedi's time on the planet one of their number, Olren Baran, discovered a Force-sensitive Selkath female named Liana Idian and set in motion a course of events that eventually led to Idian becoming Baran's Padawan
