John-A-Dreams was an Invisibles operative in King Mob's cell. He was working with King Mob in Philadelphia to track down the Hand of Glory, when they saw a "fracture". King Mob was a "gibbering idiot for a month", and John was taken through the fracture and presumed dead. Dane McGowan was recruited to replace him.
