Since the introduction of Blizzard's Paid character transfer service in Patch 1.12, a new concept has entered the World of Warcraft: Transfer Guild. This concept was facilitated further by a series of services introduced around Patch 4.2.2: Guild Master Faction Change, Guild Master Realm Transfer, and Guild Name Change.
