Tetaragua is a Central American country, seen inTintin and the Golden Fleece. The film-created characters Paparanic, Papos and Karabin took part in a coup and led a short lived government, suggesting the country to be a "Banana Republic," such as San Theodoros. The three were ostracised after the theft of gold from the country's bank account.
