PC Sharon Grant was a policewoman who responded to a call by Steve McDonald and Tracy Barlow when their daughter Amy went missing on a day trip to Blackpool. The police took the details of the child who soon turned up and told her that she had gone to complain that one of the machines in the arcade had swallowed her coin and her parents had not noticed she had gone because they were too busy arguing.
