Naruto usually prefers to use a short-range ninjutsu-heavy combat style. Preferring the "up close and personal" approach. Naruto also utilizes mid and long-range ninjutsu is his fighting style as well, and usually dominates in taijutsu situations. Naruto also makes use of what he calls "modes" which he uses to increase his chakra, battle performance, and supplementary skills. In terms of battlecraft, Naruto's a genius, continuously creating multi-step incredibly deceptive traps, springing from his trickster nature. Naruto is also very innovative, able to shape his battle-style to whatever is required at the time, all while under the stress of what is usually one-on-one combat.
