The Center for Computer/Law was established in 1978 at a 503(c) non-profit, educational and research institute. It was the first research institute to focus solely on the study of the development of computer law. The Center maintained an extensive research library that was used by researchers from the U.S., Japan, Finland, and the U.K. The Executive Director of the Center was Michael D. Scott. The Center closed in 1994. The Center published two, quarterly law reviews: 1. * Computer/Law Journal 2. * Software Law Journal The Center also hosted two international, computer law conferences:
